We Are MATCHED!!

     We are SO SO EXCITED to finally announce we are MATCHED!! After being an active family for a little over four months a wonderful expectant mother choose us to be parents to her sweet baby BOY! 

     I found out on August 22nd on my way home from work. I saw our consultant's number come across the screen and knew she would only call us for a match not a rejection! I was on the phone with one of my coworkers when she called and stumbled on all my words telling her I HAD to go. It was such a sweet surprise. I think most of the phone call was just me saying "no way" and screaming in excitement. I had plans to surprise Rick like I did last time, and totally could have if I was willing to wait until the next day...NO WAY!! We kept the news to ourselves for four days. Those days felt like the longest days EVER! It was so exciting telling all of our family and they are all so so excited to add another baby boy to the family 💙

     When we got this sweet momma's case we immediately noticed how much we had in common with her! We connected on several different things and really felt like this could be THE CASE.

     And she chose US! Baby BOY (who has a name we aren't sharring yet) will be born in Utah at the same hospital Mya was born! We expect him to be born the second or third week of December right in time for Christmas! The best Christmas gift we could ask for! We got a chance to talk to the birth mama on the phone, and it was so great to hear her voice and get to know her. She is truly giving us such a wonderful gift!! 

     The adoption process is certainly trying. I wish I could say that I was always super positive and patient on God's timing, but that would be a lie. We trusted God to match us, but the waiting and the rejection is HARD. Standing here and looking back, it is so evident that God has ordered our steps through the whole thing, blessing us the entire way. The support we have had from our family and friends is overwhelming and we are so thankful. We have been praying to become a family of four for awhile and in a little over three months that time will be reality. Ever since we got the news, we have been texting each other several times a day reminding each other that we have a baby boy on the way! We just can't stop smiling!

     God is SO GOOD! We are praying for his guidance as well as praying for the expectant mother and our baby boy! This case was one of the more expensive cases that we got. When we got it, it was more than we had budgeted and saved but we felt called to put our YES on the table. We are SO glad we did! We are fully trusting God to provide the extra money we need! 

     So please pray for the birth mom and the baby over the next couple months, that God would comfort her and give her peace with the decision she is making. Please pray for us, as we prepare to be parents again! And please pray that God would provide the funds we need!
